I Need Your Help!

Every so often I reach this point where I’m just completely BORED with the music I have and completely TURNED OFF by the new music on the radio. So what’s a girl to do? Well this girl has been listening to a lot of older music while killing time trying to find awesome new music.

Can ya help a girl out? I need some new tunes! But there is a disclaimer…

I want GOOD music. And here is my definition of GOOD: The music must be from an artist who has integrity. Christian or not-Christian, I refuse to listen to any song that curses, talks negatively about relationships and women, references money or items in an envious way, talks about getting drunk or sexual images or is depressing in nature. This cuts out the majority of the music I’ve been hearing when scanning the radio but what can I say – I love music and I’m so not letting that crap into my life on a regular basis. Oh, and I’m completely anti auto-tune. It’s on every song and I’ve developed a huge resistance to the sound.

So with that being said…here’s the genres I’m into lately:

• I’ll be honest…and I realize I might lose some friends over this…but I’m liking country music lately. Me and the Rascal Flatts hang out every day in my head. So any good country music you can recommend?

• I love the dance beats but for me to really enjoy it while in the car, I need some vocals baby. And high energy. Energy is gooood.

• I’m back into ska for some reason. Five Iron Frenzy is often on but does anyone have any good recommendations – even if it’s old ska? I used to love 311 and Less Than Jake if that helps (ok ok they’re not 100% ska…but you get what I mean).

• Good rock n’ roll. Whether classic rock or modern…I like to rock.

• Always a fan of punk & pop-punk.
