Poor Netflix. I usually love them. But this past week, I have nothing but complaints towards them. And it’s all the same problem: Stars movies on watch instantly are not syncing the audio with the visual properly.
Case #1: When I was younger I babysat these 2 little boys that my mom knew. The older brother liked to play with his friends and do his own thing so most of that summer I spent hanging out with little 5 year old Kenny. We’d go fishing and play outside and make lunch together and (very) often watch his favorite movie: The Master of Disguise. I must admit that I was hooked after the 3rd viewing. It got to the point that he’d fall asleep during the movie and I wouldn’t turn it off. So needless to say, I was so excited to share these memories, and movie, with my hubbie when it came into our Watch Instantly queue. But, after watching 6% of the movie it became unbearable. The audio didn’t match the visual. The screen was skipping. And I was pouting.
Case #2: Another movie I loved to watch when I was younger was Beetlejuice. So one night Chris and I decide to make dinner and sit in front of the tv and watch Beetlejuice. Well this movie we got about…30% in when the syncing was lost and we were immediately booted from watching the movie. We tried a few times but couldn’t even get the movie to play again. Sad face.
Cast #3: Last night Chris wasn’t feeling good and I was tired so we did our usual “let’s see what’s new on watch instantly.” So we start up the xbox and start scanning through the choices. “The Jetsons Movie!!!!” I screech and next thing I know, the movie has started. The Jetsons is my favorite cartoon. I grew up watching it obsessively. So when the Jetsons movie came out (not to be confused with the Jetsons Meet the Flinstones movie which I also love) I watched it a million times. So back to the story. We’re a good 40% into the movie and no!!….the syncing between words and mouths is so off that I couldn’t finish the movie. Blame it on this being case 3 or blame it on pregnancy hormones but I was near tears and went to bed miserable. Yes I was that disappointed.
So I’m blaming Netflix. What’s up guys? Can we PLEASE get these issues fixed? My emotions can’t take it!
