Ignorance

Ignorance – The condition of being ignorant; the lack of knowledge in general, or in relation to a particular subject; the state of being uneducated or uninformed.

Many say that ignorance is bliss. Well, I say that ignorance is stupid.

There are many times in this world that being educated is extremely important. When you’re voting for someone, you should know what they stand for. When you’re driving a car, you should know the laws. When you’re playing a game, you should know the rules. And when you’re doing a job, you should understand what you’re supposed to be doing.

i.e.: When you’re a manager (for instance, of course), you should know how to manage. When people report to you, you should know what they’re doing. When you have to make a decision about something, you should know the facts. And when you don’t know something, you should probably ask someone who does or do some research.

Ignorance makes people look stupid. Ignorance ignites stupidity and it spreads like a forest fire on the dryest day.

Do yourself a favor and invest a little time in learning. Learn facts, learn skills, learn about people. I bet you’ll have more bliss knowing that you know things and making a difference because of it than being ignorant and having someone else point it out later on.
