Angel of Death
This morning was interesting. I felt like the world turned upside down or there was some kind of tragedy that I didn’t know about. Chris and I decided that it was latte Monday and we’d pick some up on the way to work. We passed John Jay High School at 8:00am and saw the place packed with cars trying to get in. Strange since first period is 7:17…but I thought maybe there was a 1 hour delay for some reason. Then got to Hudson Cafe to find their doors locked and windows pitch black. Hm…they open at 7 the sign says. A little panic sneaked into my heart. Then Chris spoke. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME – we didn’t re-set the clock in my car. Sure no lattes but things made sense. Then off to Liana’s…who was also closed, so we ended up at the always open Starbucks for a nice morning beverage. We stuck a worship sermon into the cd slot and drove to work filling ourselves up with a great message and reminder of how important worship is in every day life.
Near the end of the sermon I began looking around the houses of Stamford as we pass them by. To my right I saw a beautiful image. It seemed to be a very tall angel statue or decoration of some sort. Very white and flowy. Definitely angelic looking. It almost brought peace inside of me. Then as we got closer I saw that although the outside garments were angelic – the face was a skeleton. An immediate shiver went down my spine. A literal angel of death. It’s amazing how the enemy can fool us.

Creepy! Weird morning, eh?
